Yesteryear was born from the 2011 founding of The London Distillery Company, crafted anew from the distillery’s LV-1767 Edition - the first new London whisky for over 100 years.
We’ve revived this historic whisky, returning it from glass to first-fill sherry octaves and finishing it in a refill sherry quarter cask – and in doing so, have created a reimagined expression of the whisky that started it all.
Founded with a spirit of innovation and respect for heritage production methods, London Distillery Company helped revive whisky making in the heart of the city - reconnecting London to its distilling roots while shaping a new chapter in English whisky.
Yesteryear stands as a bridge between what was and what’s to come - honouring the past while shaping the future of London whisky.

STEP INTO THE WORLD OF EMBARQUE
In the mid-19th century, countless sherry casks arrived at London’s bustling docks, where merchants soon discovered their transformative effect on maturing malt whisky - a moment that changed the course of the whisky industry.
Embarque continues this story. Finished in exceptional oloroso sherry casks from Bodegas Barbadillo, it carries with it the character of both place and passage. This limited release of just 500 bottles unites the depth of sherry wood with the bold, traditionally crafted spirit of The London Distillery Company.
